关于颜色的民族喜好_日本人讨厌绿色,瞎说!

记得看过一些设计教材上讲颜色民族喜好问题,日本人讨厌绿色,于是我搜索了一下。

这是从Japan-Guide上搜寻来的。

答案当然是

dislike the color of green?
I read from some books about Japan that Japanese people don’t like the color of green. Is it true? I need to know this because i’m going to exhibit in Japan and i need to decorate my booth.

I have never heard of such a thing. These types of broad generalizations are seldomly true.

Midori no Hi
The late Emperor Showa’s birthday is now a holiday called “Midori no hi” meaning “Green Day” (no, it’s not the name of the punk band) in memory of his excellency’s love for green plants.If the Japanese dislike green, there won’t be any green tea. Some kind of new urban legend??

Green
Unfortunately some authors are not always very thorough and leap to conclusions that may sound true to them without checking any facts. As for the colour green, I can imagine that it when thus: We call the colour of the traffic light ‘green’, why do the Japanese call it ‘blue’? They must not like green as colour!
Another favourite of mine is the use of induction: I asked one person, I asked a 2nd and both didn’t like the colour green, therefore all Japanese must dislike it! ^_^;;

About the only thing…
The only thing I can even *remotely* think of is that in “good manners” books, they do say when you write somewhat official letters, you’re not supposed to use colorful ink, such as green 🙂 But this does not mean at all that the Japanese don’t like the color green! lol

Can you enlighten us on the books you’ve read? I mean, there is a possibility there’s some history to it but its been flushed out of the system over time.However personal judgment = its bullocks.
